Very cool! I have never looked at rhubarb from that perspective. I remember having stewed rhubard as a salad at meals. My favorite was rhubard in strawberry Jell-O ® .
Wonderful painting! Now bring on the strawberry-rhubarb pie :)
Wow! Great painting!
Rhubarb leaves are poisonous. But their stalks are tasty. I remember going over to one of my grandma's friend's house as a kid and she served Strawberry Rhubarb pie. All the kids practically inhaled it. My grandma is one competitive lady. Needless to say, she could not abide by someone with a better recipe. We never went to Mrs. Boser's house for dinner again. And, a lovely illustration! Very nicely rendered.
When i saw the icon on IF i thought it was a picture. Very nice!
beautiful painting!! Love the details!
very nice; really enjoyed the unique perspective
Hey Richard, beautiful work! I 'borrowed' some rhubarb from a farmer's field when I was a kid, I brought it home and proudly presented it to my mum. She gave me a clip around the ear and dragged me back to the field and made me stick it back in the ground... didn't like rhubarb much for a while after that.
Beautiful command of the watercolor medium. I'm sort of partial to watercolor myself. I love the angle and the compostition.
great colours, like a magical forest. rhubarb is magical though.there are two tribes somewhere, one lives to an average age of 100yrs and the other to 75yrs. The only difference in their diet was one tribe ate rhubarb alot and the other hardly at all. strange but true.
Nice! Very Well done.
ooooh this is gorgeous... I love different perspectives... and your choices of colours are Juicy! not the right word...but Im thinking of pie!
This is making my mouth water! I love love love the rhubarb pie my mom used to make from the rhubarb in our yard! I can taste it when I look at this beautiful painting! Thanks for the memory.
